Hello my lovelies,
I told you last week that I would start posting some of our past Halloween themes to give you some great ideas. Not being one to go back on my promises, I present to you...A Classic Halloween.
What people wore:

Our party that year revolved around the characters from classic movies. Think Alfred Hitchcock, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Monroe. Our guests really got into the spirit of things dreaming up costumes like Holly Golightly,Mrs. Robinson, Laurel and Hardy, and (yes that's Mr. F) Charlie Chaplin.
How we decorated:
We decorated with old movie posters and framed pictures of classic movie stars.
What we ate:
Among other things,
Some Like It Hot Wings, "Poisoned" Apples, Leave the Gun, Take the Cannoli
and because we just couldn't resist...
Dirty Harry Balls (Sure it's crass, but they were delicious!)
How we entertained our guests:
A power point quiz was projected onto a screen set up outside. I had 100 pictures of scenes from old movies and guests had to try and guess what the movie was. I set it up to repeat all night so people could wander back and forth from it. (This also provided endless entertainment for my friend Karen who decided to put on a shadow dance show for us!)
What we drank:
Champagne cocktails of course!

2 dashes bitters
1 tsp sugar
chilled Champagne
1 twist lemon peel
Place one lump of sugar with bitters in a chilled champagne flute. Fill with chilled champagne. Add the twist of lemon peel and serve.
It definitely wasn't your "classic" Halloween party!
Stay Savvy!
Shannon
